Laboratory Evaluation of PauseM® Performance by Fera
Recent laboratory trials conducted by Fera Science Limited (fera) research labs in the UK tested the power of PauseM® and the suspended animation technology. Suspended neonates were packed in PauseM® units and shipped to FERA, simulating a shipment to global FreezeM customers. They were stored under recommended conditions and activated over time, examining the prolonged suspended animation technology developed by FreezeM.
FERA has validated the performance and reliability of FreezeM’s PauseM® under controlled conditions compared with laboratory, non-suspended neonates. These findings highlight PauseM® as a practical and effective solution for Black Soldier Fly (BSF) farming.

Exceptional Survival Rates:
PauseM® neonates were shipped from Germany to the UK and achieved >95% survival rates across all tested suspension durations (7, 11, and 14 days), comparable to fresh neonates raised locally.

Improved Larvae Growth:
The weight of individual larvae in PauseM® samples exceeded that of locally grown neonates. As a result, the total larvae biomass per tray was higher, offering farmers greater yields.

Consistent Performance:
The results remained consistent and reliable throughout all suspension time points sampled, ensuring dependable outcomes and operational reliability for farmers.

Improved Biomass Conversion Ratio:
The performance of suspended neonates from PauseM® was better than the locally grown neonates, supporting higher production efficiencies.
